You board in Labuan Bajo in the morning, sail straight for the Padar viewpoint hike, swim at Pink Beach, then complete the ranger-guided Komodo dragon trek before anchoring near Kalong Island to watch thousands of flying foxes leave the mangroves at dusk. In practice that extra day goes three ways: a return visit to whichever reef the group liked best (Manta Point sightings improve sharply when you can try twice), a quieter anchorage away from the day-boat routes, and unstructured hours on deck — jacuzzi, karaoke, or nothing at all. It is also the package with the most weather resilience; if a crossing is lumpy one afternoon, the schedule absorbs it without cutting a stop.
